1st Semester Reflection

Since starting the photography class I feel the quality of the photos I shoot and create has grown exponentially. Before I was in this class I had absolutely no idea what an index was or how far my mind could really stretch in this subject. I think my imagination helps me very much with fulfilling assignments and giving my work an extra boost of quality. I have also gained a certain work ethic for this type of assignment because I find the challenge in it somewhat satisfying. If I see a shot is hard to catch I don't just give up, I use my brain and think of a way or how I could find a way to make that shot come to life. Risks are al a part of this situation, If you never take risks then you will never see what you are truly capable of. I have a very positive attitude towards my photography as well as others. Now seeing how difficult it can be to get a certain shot or render a certain image, I have massive respect for the people who do it professionally. I do need some work on my participation, mostly just staying on task and on topic during work, But I'm really going to try and put an effort into doing the exact opposite and making sure all my work is done on time and completely. The improvement of my style throughout this course has been significant. I'd love to improve my skills with photoshop and get a better understanding of the system and what it can do. During 2nd semester I really hope to improve on my productivity and getting my projects in on time. I just need to find a way to get photoshop at home, I think that'd really help.

Part II

I suggest that we have an imagination challenge. The assignment is to let the students dig as deep into their imagination as possible and find what comes out. This challenge would include the kids attempting to stay off their technology for a little bit and see what really comes to their attention when they are actually looking inside their imagination. Then create a photo that represents what they learned or saw.
