Ted Talk Questions
The first question Erik posed was if digital art was still photography.
Eriks first real passion was drawing.
The conception of photography that Erik previously held was that "the process ends when you press the trigger."
This inspired him by wanting to create something where the process starts when you press the trigger.
Eriks common goal in all of his photos is to retain the realism despite being completely out of this world.
Realism, in this since, means photo-realism. Making an idea look real.
Some of the principles Erik adheres to when creating an image are combining multiple images and making sure they are all from the same perspective and they should also have the same type of light. He also makes it impossible to distinguish where the different images begin and end by making it seamless.
It is easier to create a place rather than finding a place because you won't have conflicting ideas inside your head creating an image unlike trying to find one.
Erik plans the photos by first sketching his idea then combining the different photographs.
The conclusion is that the only thing limiting you are the boundaries of your own imagination.
