To even think that art or anything related to art is not important is completely idiotic. If you like movies, you like art. If you enjoy Television, You like art. Everything around us came from art. Ideas are written or drawn up before created. At the end of highschool, students start to find who they are and what they really want to do with their life. If you only give them one choice then you are literally asking them to fail. People need to be able to express themselves in the ways they want or else you can risk mental health issues like depression or anxiety. But if you let the students have a place to create and actually express themselves then they don't hurt their minds trying to conform to something they are not.

My photo is supposed to convey the idea of selfless love and care for another. My mother has recently gone through a surgical procedure and my father has been helping her get around and do day to day activities. The medical supplies are supposed to give the observer the information that she's hurt and in need of assistance and my father helping her move helps convey the idea of selflessness.
